Why Doesn’t your Merida Business Have a Website
By the way, I’m suspicious of you if you don’t have a website
In this day and age, it is standard protocol to have a website for your business. It doesn’t matter if your company is big or small, caters to the world or just your community. Everyone expects to find your website if they decide to look for your business. If they can’t find one, well, they tend to become a little suspicious as to why you don’t have one. If your local Merida business needs a website, you need to understand why.
Today we have become a world filled with technology. We carry cell phones and play video games and surf the Internet for anything that is important to us. If we decide to take a vacation to Merida and your business doesn’t have a website, we will pass you right by. Why? Because we are a world full of planners. We want to know what’s in Merida before we even get there. We want to know where we will stay and what restaurants we will frequent. We want to see the menu so we don’t show up disappointed because you don’t serve local cuisine.
To your locals, if they are looking for what you offer, they need to know if you have it in stock or you have to order it. They want to know if you can fix their leaky roof or they have to find someone else to do it. If you don’t have a website, they won’t have the answer to these things and they will move on. You may say, well, they can call. If you aren’t even advertising on the web, how are they going to even know you exist? They can’t call you if they don’t know about you.
We all want to be recognized and when we are shopping we want to recognize you. If you are selling local art and you don’t have a website, I’m a little suspicious. Why may you ask? Why aren’t you advertising this local art through your website and showcasing what you have? Why aren’t you explaining who made it and where the inspiration came from? Quite honestly, I will think you are a fraud if you aren’t excited about the products you carry in your store. And since I am a planner, I want to plan to come into your store by seeing what you carry first. What I am thinking if I can’t find your website is that you are carrying replicas and not original art. You will have to work harder to sell to me if I do actually come into your store (but if you don’t have a website, I probably won’t show up).
